I can't concentrate.  What can I do?

I am having problems with my concentration and memory. I try to concentrate but it just doesn't seem to work. I have been under a lot of pressure lately and have been taking anti-anxiety medication. I know there is something wrong but don't know where to look for help.

Please advise. Thanks.

High levels of anxiety can interfere with concentration and memory - you need to consult you doctor as to the impact of the medication.

You need to break out of this and find a way to soothe yourself without medication - so that you can get your life under control.

There are many approaches and all work - IF YOU DO IT!  You'll need support to learn and use soothing methods. I suggest that you find some kind of support group.  Perhaps there are classes in meditation or a center that you can go to.  This is will help greatly.

Some of the techniques in my book the Worrywart's Companion would be helpful in learning how to soothe yourself.

Another approach is feeding your brain.  You can get some information about this from my book, Brain Boosters:  Foods & Drugs that Make You SmarterInternational Antiaging Systems is very informative about smart pharmaceuticals and how to purchase them from Europe - you do need a doctor's prescription.  Smart Basics has many herbal products that boost brain power.
